Hi, my name is Nicole!
My personal journey to holistic nutrition began during high school when I started experiencing digestive issues: bloating, constipation, you name it! I was eventually diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Doctors prescribed medication, and constantly told me to eat more fibre and drink water, but nothing was making me feel better, which was extremely frustrating!
I decided to take an alternative and holistic approach and visit a food sensitivity practitioner. She advised I cut out certain food groups (gluten, dairy, and corn) to see if I would notice any changes. Within two weeks, my bloating and digestion had improved. I could not believe it! I never knew that food could make such a big difference on your gut health. I have been gluten, dairy and corn free for over 15 years now and I have never felt better.
I became fascinated by how the body worked and how certain foods impact the way you look and feel. After experiencing these positive changes on myself,I knew I wanted to help people and create individualized nutrition programs with a focus on gut health.
In my spare time, I love cooking and baking healthy recipe alternative to conventional sweets. I am often referred to as the product queen because I also love researching the best gluten and dairy free healthy products on the market. Grocery stores are my happy place!
