Ingredients

  • 3 small gala/fiji apples, peeled and chopped into cubes
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup gluten free rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F
  2. Spray an 8 inch round cake/ pie dish
  3. In a large bowl, mix together chopped apples, frozen berries, maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla
  4. Next mix in almond flour and oats
  5. Pour mixture into prepared dish and cover with tin foil. Poke a few holes in the tinfoil with a fork
  6. Bake for 40 minutes
  7. Remove from oven and take tinfoil off
  8. Put back in oven and broil for 2-3 minutes (carefully watch so the crisp doesn’t burn)

Substitutions

If you have a nut allergy, you can use whole wheat, spelt, brown rice, oat flour or coconut flour
